We believe we're meant to love each other, and that happens when we're together in a community. This is where we learn about God, share doubts, get support from other Christians, and build connections for doing life together.
In the fall of 2024 MCC groups went through Practicing The Way a study designed to lay a foundation for lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus.

THE GROWING NATIVITY
Each week, as we contributed to this heartwarming cause through World Vision, Compassion International and Heifer International, we added animals to our Nativity scenes across all campuses.
With every donation, we purchased animals for families in developing countries, giving them not just food, but a sustainable source of income to help them thrive. Together, we empowered these families to put food on their tables and spark lasting change in their lives. Our kids learned how to transform the world, one animal and one Nativity scene at a time, symbolizing the hope and promise of our Savior!
Total given through their tithes and offerings were:
10 Flocks Of Chickens ($20 a piece)
3 Goats ($100 a piece)
4 Sheep ($120 a piece)

serve the city
Through Serve the City MCC Students learned about practical ways they can partner with one of our local mission partners, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. In 2024, there were 46 students and 30 adults who served by helping to build bed frames for local distribution to those in need!

54 Students and 25 adults combined their strengths to provide free home repairs for 6 local homeowners who were physically or financially unable to make needed repairs. They were separated into 6 work teams, a kitchen team, a program team and a worship team that served our 12 Points Community for 5 days!
HOPE WEEK
internships: pouring into the next generation
MCC offers paid internships for college students during their summer breaks. In 2024 we were able to support 7 internship positions. Interns helped as additional staff during Middle School Summer Camp, High School Summer Camp, and Hope Week. They also shadowed our year-round church staff to learn about the various roles involved in weekly ministry at MCC.
Applications for Summer 2025 closed on March 2nd.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace believes all children deserves a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. They organize team Bed Build Days and delivery of beds to families in need.
MCC fulfilled the needs of 22 area families through CarePortal
CarePortal is a digital platform where DCS agents share the needs of bio families in danger of having their children put into the foster care system. DCS can also share the needs of families ready to regain custody of their kids already in foster care.

Around 50 people shopped at the 2024 swap and over 20 MCC volunteers from both campuses assisted in showing hospitality and love to their neighbors. Canvas bags featuring the Hope House logo, containing community resource info, and MCC service details were given out to those in line. MCC also gave away several new bikes, Amazon and area grocery store gift cards, and other items via a drawing.
Donated items that remained were given to SHINE Foster Family Resources and the Marshall Ministerial Alliance Clothing Store.
